• 3 jumbo glue sticks
• 3 boxes of 24 count crayons
• 1 box of CLASSIC color markers
• 12 sharpened #2 pencils
• 1 child-sized scissors
• 1 watercolor paint set (8 colors)
• 8 black skinny-tipped dry erase markers
• 2 boxes of tissues
• Voluntary Donations
• 2 bottles of hand sanitizer
• 2 containers of disinfecting wipes
• 1 box resealable bags (quart or gallon size)
• 4 containers of 3 or 4 ounce Play Doh
• 1 container of baby wipes or hand wipes

Label the following items with student’s name

• 1 pair of tennis shoes for Phy Ed
• Large backpack (no wheels)
• Refillable water bottle
• Snow pants, snow boots, hat & mittens

Please send a set of clothes, underwear and socks included in
a Ziploc bag to store in locker for emergency.

Welcome to Edinbrook! What an amazing experience this is for you and your student. As you send your child to kindergarten, there are many new opportunities for your entire family. Parents and guardians are invited to be a part of the volunteer team that provides enriching educational experiences for our students in our large and active volunteer program.

There are several ways to learn about our volunteer opportunities. Be sure to check out our Volunteer page! PTO meetings are also a great source of information about volunteering, school events and programs. Here are some of the great things you can do to help our school:

• Join Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students), our volunteer team for dads
• Be a Wednesday Helper
• Help teachers with in-school projects
• Work in our Media Center
• Read with children in the classroom
• Help teachers with take-home projects 
• Help to plan after-school PTO events, like Book Fair, Bingo, and Carnival

At Edinbrook, there is a place for everyone when it comes to volunteering. Some parents are able to spend hours at school during the day, others can help with the occasional party and still others can do work from home. We value any and every level of participation! Working together to support our school is what makes Edinbrook such an amazing learning environment for our students.

Our district's Early Childhood Screening is required by the state and should be completed prior to a child turning five years old. The screening is free and includes a developmental check of vision and hearing, height and weight, immunization status, large and small muscles skills/development, thinking, language and communication skills and social and emotional development. 

If your student has not yet been screened, please be sure to schedule an appointment prior to the beginning of the school year. If your student has been screened in another district, that is sufficient to satisfy this requirement.

Dear Edinbrook parents and guardians,

On behalf of our PTO, we would like to welcome all new families to Edinbrook Elementary School! Our Parent Teacher Organization symbolizes a special partnership, one that bridges a child's two very important worlds: home and school.

Because of family support and participation in our fundraisers, our PTO has been able to purchase extra items for our school, including 60 iPad Minis, multicultural books and other resources. 

Our mission is to:

• Enhance learning
• Represent parents' views to the staff, district and community legislature
• Promote family involvement
• Provide communication between the general public and the school

We host:

• Fall Fundraiser
• Bingo Night
• Twice-yearly Book Fair
• Twice-yearly Movie Night
• Carnival
• Ice Cream Social

The PTO meets monthly on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Media Center. We'd like to invite you to join us at our meetings and all of the above events. We look forward to working together with you next year!
